JUNE

June 1: True success is not the absence of failure, it is the refusal to surrender. - Lazarus Lake

    Father, I pray that Your joy would spill over into all areas of my life so others might experience Your life in Jesus. Amen

June 2: You carry on no matter the obstacles. You simply refuse to give up.  When the going gets tough, you get tougher.  - Vince Lombardi
    Heavenly Father, thank You for those You have placed in my life who have been persistent in sharing their faith.  I pray that You will give me the strength to stand up for You and spread Your Word. Amen

June 3: Do you wan to know who our best teammates are?  Watch how they react when someone else does something good. - Phil Beckner
    Lord, thank You for the grace and mercy that You have given to me in such abundance.  Thank You for being strong when I am weak and for overcoming all obstacles in my life. Amen

June 4: Obsessed or Try Hard are words the lazy use to described the dedicated.

    Lord, give us the strength to endure our trials.  But also give us the ability to look to You for guidance and a time to learn. Thank You for giving us hope. Amen

June 7: The pain is part of the process.
   
Father, not many of us can sing this kind of song regularly.  We let stuff invade and win the battle.  Help us with our shortfalls in faith.  Show me what I need to do to increase my faith.  I want it to be well with my soul.  Amen

June 8: Upon the conduct of each depends the fate of ALL. - Alexander the Great
    Lord, help me see people as You see them.  May I hold my tongue before I speak, and may You grant me the grace to forgive as You have forgiven me. Amen

June 9: There is satisfaction in exhaustion.

    Dear God, thank You for giving me the opportunity to lead some of Your precious children.  Please allow me to lead these young hearts and minds to a greater peace and understanding of Your will. Amen

    Father, thank You for the privilege to be a coach.  Please fill my heart with your joy and peace as I lead my team as a representative of Christ. Amen

    Lord, give me unwavering faith in You in the midst of the storms in my life, even when I don't understand why I'm going through them. Amen

    Father, thank You for the plan of salvation.  I pray that You would reveal ways that I can share the gospel with my team and coaches. Amen

June 18: Players that make excuses in the summer for why they can't workout are usually hard at work in-season blaming others. - Tom Crean
    Lord Jesus, thank You for the opportunity today to live according to Your will and to do what is right and good in Your eyes.  I trust that You will give me the strength I need to stand firm in my faith. Amen

June 19: The best teammates are the ones I think about the least.  I don't expend mental energy on things that are not my job. - Tom Brady
    Father, please fill my heart with Your Word so I may coach wisely and so my steps may not slip. Help me to lead in a way that honors you. Amen

June 20: We are wired by God to be a part of something good - and we work to be a part of something great. - Jim Rohn
    Lord, forgive me for my selfish agenda.  Help me follow the example of Christ, who gave everything for me.  Help me to set an example in all I do, so everyone might see Christ in my words and actions.  Enable me to sacrifice my agenda for my team and give 100 percent. Amen

June 21: Your job gives you authority, your behavior gives you respect. - Irwin Federman
    Lord, I pray that You will show me the path You want me to follow.  Give me the faith to trust in You and Your plans for my life.  Remove any obstacles that might hinder me from reaching the appointed goal You have for my life.  Give me patience to let Your plans develop. Amen

Heavenly Father, help us to give everything we have to You.  When the hard times come, teach us that we can lean on You and find comfort.  Help us understand that we are winners in Your eyes because Christ succeeded at everything on our behalf.  Father, we love You and thank You for loving us. Amen

June 23: To become a champion, fight one more round. 
    Lord Jesus, thank You for loving me and giving Yourself for me on the cross so that I could die to self and live with You. Amen

June 24: You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you. - Walt Disney
    Lord, help me to realize that pointing athletes and coaches to You is the highest calling I have. Help me also to see that the greatest goal I can reach is to make an eternal impact on the lives of those You have put in my path. Amen

June 25: We're building a culture of accountability, trust and togetherness.  Entitlement will not be tolerated. - Brad Stevens
    Thank You, Lord, for revealing to me that I am an important part of Your team.  I pray this in Your name. Amen

June 26: It takes courage to be the best.

    Lord, I pray that You will reveal hurting people to me and help me be a representative of Christ to them.  Let me not be selfish, but have a burden for hurting people. Teach me to lift up others in need. Amen
